First Quarter

Drawing and Design

Art IV is an independent study course.  Students must submit five preapproved pieces of artwork each quarter, with two pieces being completed by midterm grading and three more pieces completed by the end of the first quarter.

Second Quarter

Drawing and Design

Art IV students must submit five independent and pre-approved art pieces for grading this quarter.  Two pieces are to be submitted by midterm and the remaining three pieces by the end of 2nd quarter.

Third Quarter

Independent Study Projects

During this quarter, the Art IV students will be working on an independent basis.  By the midterm point, students need to submit for evaluation one piece of artwork which meets criteria set forth by the teacher (size requirements of pieces, time spent on the work which meets or exceeds the specified time span required, work is of acceptable quality).  The remaining three pieces of work are due by the end of third quarter.

Fourth Quarter

Independent Study Projects

Students will work on an independent study basis from a syllabus.  Prior to beginning a new project, students will consult with the teacher to make sure the artwork meets the criteria (size requirements, time requirements, quality of artwork submitted).  One piece of artwork must be submitted for evaluation by midterm and the remaining three pieces of work submitted by the end of fourth quarter grading period.
