Students create an art piece based on a random word written on a piece of paper and pulled out of a shoebox (i.e. happiness, jealousy, green, outside).  Students develop design concept/idea,

Mixed Media Utilization

Lesson/examples for Quadrant Mixed Media Image.  Students must take a single visual image and divide it into four approximately equal parts.  Each section of the single image is then executed in a different media (i.e. square 1 in pencil, square 2 in acrylic paint, etc.).

Fourth Quarter

Independent Study Projects

Students will receive a syllabus at the beginning of fourth quarter outlining the due dates and criteria of their fourth quarter independent study projects.  Students must consult with teacher before beginning a project to make sure it meets criteria requirements (size, time requirements and quality of the finished work).  The first piece of work is due by the midterm and the remaining three pieces of work are due by the end of the fourth quarter grading period.
