Playing tests for the semester have begun!!!
This weeks test is on the C major scale and Chart9 lines 1 &2

These tests are to make sure that you all learn the fundamentals of playing, which include scales and counting.

- Tests are recorded every Thursday during rehearsal

- All Jr. High School scales are to be MEMORIZED, at least one octave, 2 for extra credit.

- Each test is recorded on a digital camcorder so I can see your face/embouchure and fix any bad habits I see

- Students who try to delete a playing test or listen to the tests of other students will receive an automatic F!!

- Each student gets 2 consecutive attempts.

-Speed does not matter, only accuracy

- If you want to take your playing test early you can:
1. Call my office phone after 6pm and play your test onto my answering machine. Bear in mind that if you can't play your test fast enough to fit into the amount of time it takes to record a normal voicemail (2 minutes or less), this may not be the best option. If you do a phone playing test, be sure to say your name and grade before starting.

2. If you are computer savvy, you may record your test on your computer as a video or audio file and email it to me (jlogan@valmeyerk12.org). YouTube links are OK. If you send audio, make sure it is either an MP3 or a WMA file.
