VALMEYER SCHOOL CALENDAR . . . . .
Wednesday, August
16 – First day of school for the 2006-2007 School Year. On this day classes will be in session from
8:17 a.m. to 10:41 a.m. Thereafter
classes will run from 8:17 a.m. until 3:13 p.m. each day. Kindergarten students will attend all day
every day. Pre-Kindergarten eligible
students will be notified about their schedule by the coordinator, Mrs. Riechmann.
Bus routes will be similar to last
year and will be changed as necessary.
If you have any bus questions please contact Vince Siburt. He will be available for calls beginning
Monday, August 7th at 935-2283.
On the first day of School, all
students will receive handbooks that will provide more complete information
regarding the policies and procedures of the school. By reviewing the handbook and communicating
often with your child’s teachers you can help your child have a successful
school year.
NEW AFTER-SCHOOL PROCEDURES . . .
All children are dismissed at 3:13 p.m.
If you wish to pick up your elementary child, please wait in the lobby
until the dismissal bell rings before going to the classroom. If you do not need to enter the building and
would like your child to ride home with you, please pick up your child behind
the school. You may enter the drive from
the North side behind the school from East Woodland Ridge and proceed to the
appropriate wing of the building. Cars
may not be left unattended. The main
drive in front of the school must remain clear due to busses loading in front. If your child is to go home other than the
regularly scheduled way, please send a note in the morning telling the office
where your child is to go. If there is
no note, your child will be sent on the usual route. Calls to the office with this information
should occur only in emergencies!
Parents must call School on
the morning of the day that a student in Grades PreK-12 will be absent. Calls should be made before 8:30 a.m. if
possible.
Pictures for the yearbook and
student ID cards will be taken on Tuesday, August 22nd for Grades
K-12.
For any other questions regarding
School policies and procedures call the school at 935-2100.
Plans are
currently being made for the Second Annual Valmeyer
PTO Christmas Bazaar. The date for the Bizaar will be Sunday, November 12 from 10 a.m. to 4
p.m. The fee for setting up a table at
this event is $15. No commissions on
sales will be charged. Whatever money
your business or organization makes will be yours to keep. There will be food and beverage booths so you
can have a snack while you shop. There
will be some limitations if individuals want to sell the same brand of
products. As soon as rental payments are
received, table space will be reserved.
The event will be well-advertised, so expect a good crowd to patronize
your booth. If you are interested in
renting table space contact Elaine Beckman at 935-2228.
