            Tuesday, October 25 – Junior High Boys Basketball vs. Red Bud at HOME – 6:00 p.m.

            Thursday, October 27 – Valmeyer hosts the High School Regional Volleyball Tournament.

            Thursday, October 27 – Students dismissed at 2:00 p.m. for Parent / Teacher Conferences.

            Thursday, October 27 – Parent / Teacher Conferences 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.

            Thursday, October 27 – Junior High Girls Basketball vs. Marissa at HOME – 6:00 p.m.

            Friday, October 28 – Parent / Teacher Conferences – NO SCHOOL.

            Friday, October 28 – Junior High Girls Basketball at Millstadt.

 

The Valmeyer Senior Citizens will hold their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, October 26 at 1:00 p.m. at the Emergency Services Building.

 

Valmeyer High School Music students are busy preparing for their fall musical production of “THE MUSIC MAN”.  MARK YOUR CALENDARS for the date of the production – November 3, 4 and 5 on the High School stage.

IT WON’T BE LONG NOW . . . . . . . the 9th ANNUAL VALMEYER OPTIMIST CLUB’S HALLOWEEN PARTY on October 31st (Halloween) from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. – featuring a scavenger hunt and costume contest – starting at Mike’s Convenience Store.  Cash prizes will be awarded for 1st place in three age groups.  All scavenger hunt teams can have no more than 4 members.  No driving teams are allowed.  You must sign up for the scavenger hunt from 6 – 7 p.m. and return by 8 p.m.  Food and drinks will be served at Mike’s and hayrides will be running in town to help everyone get around.  The best part is – IT’S ALL FREE!!!!!  This event is sponsored by the Valmeyer Optimist Club with assistance from the Valmeyer American Legion, Mike’s Convenience Store and the Valmeyer Fire Department.

 

MARK YOUR CALENDARS – The Valmeyer PTO will be hosting a Christmas Bazaar on Sunday, November 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  For those wanting to sell items, table spaces can be rented for $15.00.  For table reservations or for additional information contact Elaine Beckmann at 935-2228.

 

Applications are currently being accepted for nominations for the induction of individuals into the Valmeyer School Music Hall of Fame.  These applications will be accepted until January 16, 2006, and new members will be inducted in the Spring of 2006.  For applications contact Marcia Braswell or Mike Alexander at Valmeyer School.
