            Monday, October 10 – Columbus Day – NO SCHOOL.

            Monday, October 10 – IMEA District / All State auditions at Mount Vernon H. S., Bus leaves 6:30 a.m.

            Tuesday, October 11 – High School Volleyball vs. Cahokia at HOME – 6:15 p.m.

            Wednesday, October 12 – Blood Drive in the High School Gym – 12:45 to 6:45 p.m.

            Thursday, October 13 – Valmeyer Invitational – Junior High Girls and Boys Basketball.

            Friday, October 14 – Valmeyer Invitational – Junior High Girls and Boys Basketball.

            Friday, October 14 – High School Volleyball in Pumpkin Smash at the Belleville Sportsplex.

            Saturday, October 15 – High School Volleyball in Pumpkin Smash at the Belleville Sportsplex.

            Saturday, October 15 – Valmeyer Invitational – Junior High Girls and Boys Basketball.

 

Census enumerators began conducting interviews with residents of the Village of Valmeyer on Thursday, October 6.  This activity will continue through October until all residents have been surveyed.  Each household will be asked to answer a few questions as a part of this process.  If you have any questions about the individuals conducting the interviews be sure to ask them for their proper identification.  THE VILLAGE BOARD WOULD LIKE TO ENCOURAGE ALL RESIDENTS TO PROVIDE THEIR COMPLETE COOPERATION WITH THE CENSUS STAFF.  AN ACCURATE ACCOUNTING OF VALMEYER’S RESIDENTS IS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF ALL VILLAGE CITIZENS.  If you have any questions about the census process please contact Valmeyer Village Hall at 935-2131.

 

PLEASE HELP - - - There won’t be any tricks, but there will be some treats when you give blood to the American Red Cross.  Visit the VALMEYER COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE AT THE HIGH SCHOOL GYM – 300 South Cedar Bluff Drive in Valmeyer on Wednesday, October 12 from 12:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.  This event is sponsored by the Valmeyer High School National Honor Society.  All donors will receive refreshments and a complimentary T-shirt.  GIVE THE GIFT OF LIFE.

 

Valmeyer High School Music students are busy preparing for their fall musical production of “THE MUSIC MAN”.  MARK YOUR CALENDARS for the date of the production – November 3, 4 and 5 on the High School stage.

 

The Valmeyer FFA has a large selection of beautiful mums at Valmeyer High School behind the Ag Shop.  The Mums can  be purchased from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. each school day.  For questions or to place orders call 935-2100, extension 102.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS for the Valmeyer Youth Sports TRIVIA NITE – October 22 at the Monroe County Fairgrounds.  $10 per person – 6 minimum – 8 maximum per table.  Doors open at 6:00 p.m.  Trivia begins at 7:00 p.m.  Call Allen May at 935-2611 for reservations.  Snacks and refreshments permitted.
