The Original Voice of Valmeyer

Volume 12 – Number 24                                                                                                         June 14, 2004

To look in and not out, to look forward and not back, to look up and not down.

IF THE ROOSTER DIES . . . . . . . BUY AN ALARM CLOCK!

Living in an urban setting next to a densely wooded area certainly has its advantages, but it also brings with it some adjustments.  Our domestic blackberries are ripening this week.  We have learned to settle for only a portion of the crop.  On a recent evening, a pair of mockingbirds were helping themselves to the best of the fruit on the tops of the vines, while a red fox was nibbling on those closest to the ground.  Sharing isn’t all bad.
