Thoughts from a Valmeyer citizen . . . . . Recently while watching Fox News, they had a segment talking about people at home (in the U.S.A.) displaying yellow ribbons to honor our brave soldiers, fallen heroes, hostages, etc. who have and continue to put their lives on the line every day . . . . . We (Valmeyer) as a community have several people serving in the Armed Forces, overseas and at home in the States.  I know we all have different political beliefs, however, we should all be proud of our hometown soldiers and the commitment they have made for us!  Let’s not lose sight of that. . . . . So please, if you would, show your support by displaying a yellow ribbon somewhere, somehow, until they finish their assignments and return home.  They deserve that from us for all they have done and continue to do.
