            Monday, December 8 – High School Girls Basketball at Marissa – 6:30 p.m.

            Monday, December 8 – High School Boys JV Basketball at Marissa – 5:00 p.m.

            Monday, December 8 – Junior High Boys Basketball at SPPS – 6:00 p.m.

            Tuesday, December 9 – High School Girls Basketball at Metro East Lutheran – 6:15 p.m.

            Tuesday, December 9 – High School Boys Basketball against Dupo at HOME.

            Thursday, December 11 – Junior High / High School Christmas Concert in the High School

                        Gym – Admission is one canned goods item to be donated to a local food pantry for

                        use in Monroe County.

            Saturday, December 13 – High School Girls and Boys Valmeyer BOSS Shootout at HOME.

                        Games start at 2:00 p.m. – Girls Varsity at 5:00 p.m. – Boys Varsity at 8:00 p.m.

            Saturday, December 13 – Junior High Boys Basketball Conference Tournament – TBA.

            Saturday, December 13 – High School Boys Basketball (Freshmen) at Red Bud – 10:00 a.m.

 

 

MARK YOUR CALENDARS - - - Valmeyer Jaycees Annual Golden Age Breakfast – Sunday, December 14

with serving from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

 

 

The PINK LADIES RELAY FOR LIFE TEAM is selling holiday tins full of cookies and candies for the holidays.  Tins will include a variation of the following:  buckeyes, snowball cookies, chocolate covered pretzels, homemade caramels, pecan turtles, chocolate chip cookies and many more.  Cookies and candies tins are $5.00 each.  Orders for homemade goodies will be taken until December 10th.  Tins will be available for pickup after December 17th . . . just in time for the holidays.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.  Pink Ladies team members include Amy Juelfs, Sandra Rippelmeyer, Cindy Roever, Toni Whipple, Jennifer Seidler, Jennifer Moehrs, Gayle McCarthy, Margo Unterseh, Robin Spurgeon, Mary McCarthy, Teena Riechmann, Sarah Stork and Kim Feldker.  To place your order, call 935-2100, extension 502.

 

 

THE NORMAL TRASH PICKUPS SCHEDULED FOR THE HOLIDAY WEEKS WILL BE CHANGED:

            Pickup during Christmas week will be on Saturday, December 27th.

            Pickup during New Year’s week will be on Saturday, January 3rd.

 

 

Applications are currently being accepted for nominations for those to be inducted in 2004 to the Valmeyer School Music Hall of Fame.  Nominees:

·         do not need to be VHS graduates . . . must be at least 23 years of age . . . can be living or deceased . . .

·         will be inducted into the Valmeyer School Music Hall of Fame because of their outstanding abilities in music and / or dance performance, because of their outstanding service as music educators, or because they have made an outstanding contribution to music in the school and / or the community.  Induction may be because of any one or more of the previously listed criteria.
