Congratulations to the
VALMEYER LIONS CLUB celebrating the 25th anniversary of their
organization, and 25 years of dedicated service to the community and their
fellow man.
Fall is the time of
year when your yard has that washed-out look from the effects of the hot and
dry summer weather. Now is the perfect
time to brighten up your yard with some beautiful fall flowering mums from the
FFA Greenhouse. Members of the FFA are
usually on hand to assist you with your purchase of these beautiful
flowers. You will also be able to
purchase tilapia, the delicious fish raised by Valmeyer FFA members. Mark your calendars to stop by the FFA
Greenhouse for FISH AND FLOWERS. The Greenhouse is open during the School
lunch hour each day. If you have any
questions call the School.
The Thursday
evening VHS Volleyball game against Livingston has been designated as PATRIOTIC
/ RED-WHITE AND BLUE NIGHT. Please show
your FIRST MATE SPIRIT by attending the game in your boldest and brightest red,
white and blue clothing. Prizes will be
given at the door to those who wear patriotic clothing. The game begins at 6:00 p.m., so don’t miss
any of the action.
The Valmeyer
Jaycees golf tournament is right around the corner. It’s time to make your reservations for this

up as an 18-hole, 4-person scramble, and will include golf, beverages and good
food. There will be a shotgun start at
1:30 p.m. Entry fee includes golf and

per person entry fee. Hole sponsors are
