A MESSAGE FROM THE C.U.S.D.#3 UNIT OFFICE . . . . . In the event that School should be forced to close because of weather or unforeseen occurrences, radio announcements will be made over radio station KMOX.  Broadcasts on KMOX will be at 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.  We will participate in KSDK 5 “STORMWATCH”          program and KMOV-TV.  Closing will be announced beginning at 5:30 a.m. . . . . Should severe weather conditions occur during the day to such a degree that it would appear likely that the buses would have great difficulty making their normal runs, the Board of Education has decided to dismiss school at 12:45 p.m.  In this event we are confronted with the problem of contacting parents of children who do not live along the bus route.  We plan to discharge those students who live off the route at the home of the nearest neighbor past the regular stop in order that we are sure not to leave any student off the bus in severe weather whose parents might not be home.  Please contact your bus driver or the Superintendent if your particular case needs special attention.  Latchkey (Kids Club) will be open if school dismisses early due to inclement weather.  PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING ESTABLISHED DATES:

            Veteran’s Day – Tuesday, November 11 – NO SCHOOL.

Early dismissal – Wednesday, November 26 – 2:00 p.m. (Latchkey will be open after the early dismissal time).

Thanksgiving vacation – Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28 – NO SCHOOL.

Winter Break – Friday, December 19, 2003 through January 4, 2004.  School reconvenes on Monday, January 5th.
