Be sure to stop by the FFA PLANT SALE AT THE FFA GREENHOUSE AT SCHOOL.  The students have an excellent variety of healthy and beautiful plants and rose bushes.  You can stop by the greenhouse during lunch or after School every day.  THERE’S NO BETTER WAY TO BRIGHTEN UP YOUR YARD FOR SPRING!

Monday, May 19 – The Valmeyer Lions Club will conduct FREE HEARING TESTING at the Emergency Services Building from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

          Tuesday, May 20 – Senior Awards Night – 8:00 p.m.

          Wednesday, May 21 – High School Baseball Regionals at Columbia – 4:30 p.m.

          Thursday, May 22 – Graduation practice – 9:00 a.m.

          Thursday, May 22 – High School Softball Regionals at Red Bud – 4:30 p.m.

          Friday, May 23 – Commencement Exercises – 8:00 p.m.

          Saturday, May 24 – High School Softball and Baseball Regionals continue if teams win first round.

          Monday, May 26 – Memorial Day – NO SCHOOL.

          Wednesday, May 28 – Teacher Institute – NO SCHOOL.

          Thursday, May 29 – Students dismissed at 9:51 a.m. – LAST DAY OF SCHOOL.

 

The Valmeyer Post Office is promoting the new HERO STAMP from now until June 13, 2003.  The stamp features an image of the firemen erecting the United States flag in the rubble of the twin towers following the 2001 terrorist attacks.  Each stamp sells for 45 cents, with 8 cents going toward the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help the families of those killed or injured in the 9/11/01 terrorist attack.  Each stamp you purchase will benefit the families of those affected.

 

The Valmeyer Library is looking for photographers and technical buffs (actors, dancers, etc.) to present programs at the LIGHTS, CAMERA, READ! SUMMER READING PROGRAM.  Contact the Library at 935-2626 with suggestions, ideas or for scheduling information.
