Be sure to stop by the FFA PLANT SALE AT THE FFA GREENHOUSE AT SCHOOL. The students have an excellent variety of healthy
and beautiful plants and rose bushes.
You can stop by the greenhouse during lunch or after School every day. It’s a great way to brighten up your house
for Spring!

RECYCLING DAY – SATURDAY, MAY 3 – Please have
your recycle items at the curb by 8:00 a.m. on that day. Remember – items to be recycled include
aluminum, tin cans, newspapers, glass of any color and type 1 and 2 plastic
containers.

Work
continues at Borsch Park on the new grandstands. Cruise by and check out the progress. If you would like to volunteer to help with
the project, call Doug Sondag, Dennis Kipping, George Brady or Allyn Rohlfing.
JUST AROUND THE CORNER . . . . . The Valmeyer High School Alumni Banquet and
Dance will be held May 10. The
banquet will be in the School Cafeteria at 6:00 p.m. followed by a dance at the
Emergency Services Building from 8:30 to midnight. The menu for dinner will include BBQ riblets, oven baked chicken,
German potato salad, baked beans, corn cobbets, salad bar and dessert. Music at the dance will be provided by
Cumberland Gap. If you want mixed
drinks at the dance you will have to bring your own fixings, and the Firemen
will be selling canned beer. Classes
receiving special honors at the banquet will be the classes of 1953 and
1978. Ticket prices are Dinner and
Dance - $15.00; Dinner only - $12.00 and Dance only - $5.00. Tickets may be purchased at Valmeyer Village
Hall, First Bank in Valmeyer, and Mike’s Convenience Store. For questions call

The Dixie Hicks “Relay for Life” team
will be having a GARAGE AND BAKE SALE
at the Emergency Services Building on May 10 from 8:00 a.m. until ????? Bring your discarded treasures to Village
Hall by May 3rd. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.
