            Monday, November 25 – High School Girls Basketball against Red Bud at HOME. (CANCELLED – will be rescheduled at a later date)

            Monday, November 25 – Junior High Girls Basketball at Smithton. (Rescheduled for December 4, 2002)

            Tuesday, November 26 – High School Boys Basketball at Christopher Tournament.

            Tuesday, November 26 – Junior High Girls Basketball against Red Bud at HOME.

            Wednesday, November 27 – Students dismissed at 2:00 for start of Thanksgiving break.

            Thursday, November 28 – Thanksgiving Day – NO SCHOOL.

            Friday, November 29 – Thanksgiving Break – NO SCHOOL.

            Friday, November 29 – High School Boys Basketball at Christopher Tournament.

            Saturday, November 30 – High School Boys Basketball at Christopher Tournament.

 

VALMEYER FFA POINSETTIA OPEN HOUSE . . . Saturday, December 7 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the FFA Greenhouse.  Poinsettias are available in red, pink, white and variegated.  The greenhouse will also be open for flower sales from Noon to 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 to 3:30 p.m. each school day.  For more information call 935-2100, extension 102.

 

FOR YOU CHRISTMAS SHOPPING . . . ATTEND THE VALMEYER FFA ALUMNI FARM TOY SHOW. . . . . .Saturday, December 7 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Valmeyer High School.  There will also be a limited amount of other toys, dolls, etc.  Admission for all is $1.00.  Watch in local newspapers for a coupon which entitles you to one free child admission with a paid adult admission.

            Winter Break begins on Monday, December 23.

            Classes resume on Monday, January 6.

            Monday, January 20 – No School – Martin Luther King’s Birthday Holiday.

 

The School is offering email accounts to Village residents for $10 per year.  They are available immediately.  The School is also collecting empty inkjet and printer cartridges to recycle as a fundraiser.  These items can be dropped off at the unit office or in the Library.  For more information contact Rich Kasson, the Valmeyer School Technology Director.

 

ENJOY THE SOUNDS OF CHRISTMAS AT ST. JOHN UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST IN VALMEYER . . . . . on Sunday, December 15 at 6:30 p.m.   A free will offering will be accepted.

 

MARK YOUR CALENDARS - - - BENEFIT DANCE FOR THE VALMEYER FIRST RESPONDERS (the ambulance unit of the Valmeyer Fire Protection District) . . . will take place on January 17, 2003 at the Hecker Community Center with music from 8:00 p.m. to Midnight. Music will be by Route 3.  More information will be available in the near future.
