How about the progress on the gas pumps at Mike’s Service and Convenience??????????  The tanks are in the ground and work has begun on installation of the piping and island stations.  It shouldn’t be long now.

The Valmeyer High School Music Department would like to thank all those who helped to make BYE BYE BIRDIE a smash hit this past weekend.  A huge thank you to all who came to see and enjoy the show.  Many thanks to all the parents and community volunteers who helped in any way. . . . . and a big hurrah to all the students who worked so hard as members of the cast and crews to make this another memorable Valmeyer musical event.

The VALMEYER SENIOR CITIZENS will hold their regular monthly meeting on November 27 at 1:00 p.m. at the Emergency Services Building.

Have you seen the outdoor classroom at Valmeyer Elementary School recently?  A lot of plants have planted in this area. . . . . so please be sure to use only the walkway if you visit this area.  Thanks to all the students, teachers, and parent volunteers who have helped with this project and the first round of plantings.  In the Spring the remainder of the plantings will be completed.  Work is now underway on the walkways, placement of rocks and mulching.  If you are interested in volunteering to help with this project just contact the School.  As part of this project a weather observation station was installed on the gazebo.  The fourth grade will be studying weather and the second grade uses some of the data for their math classes.  The station sends data to a computer in the classroom.  From that computer, data is sent to the school’s web page.  The computer updates the web page information every 15 minutes.  This isn’t an official report, but reports the conditions in the area around the school.  Plans are to add the official NOAA forecast information to the school’s web page.
