THE BIG STORY IN VALMEYER FOR 2002 IS . . . . . the recent wave of development that has overtaken our Village during the past 12 months.  It is hard to tie this activity to any one reason, but a major part has surely been played by the record low interest rates that we have seen most of the year.  During 2002, fifty-six (56) building permits were issued by the Zoning Administrator.  This is the most permits that have been issued since 1994 - - - the first year of construction activity on the new town site.  We are hopeful that this activity will continue throughout the coming year.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS - - - BENEFIT DANCE FOR THE VALMEYER FIRST RESPONDERS (the ambulance unit of the Valmeyer Fire Protection District) . . . will take place on January 17, 2003 at the Hecker Community Center with music from 8:00 p.m. to Midnight. Music will be by Route 3.

HAPPY NEW YEAR - - - may 2003 bring you health and happiness!
