Last week all Village residents received a letter from Debbie Newman of the Illinois Nature Preserves Commission. The letter included some reference information about the Timber Rattlesnake, answers to many questions about the snake, and the names and numbers of individuals to contact if you should bump into one of these creatures. Two Village residents Rob Nowlan 935-2543 and Brian Johnson 935-2716, have been trained to deal with and remove rattlesnakes. Please call them if you spot a rattlesnake in your yard. An informative meeting has been planned for Monday, February 26 at the Emergency Services Building at 7:00 p.m. Details of a new rattlesnake study will also be presented.
