As you are probably aware, the District provides access to the Internet in order to promote educational excellence and improved productivity by facilitating resource sharing, innovation, and communication. With this educational opportunity also comes responsibility. The use of inappropriate material or language, or a violation of copyright laws, may result in the loss of the privilege to use this resource.
The District prohibits the access of materials that may be defamatory, inaccurate, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate in the school setting. On an unregulated network, however, it is impossible to control all material and you may discover inappropriate material.
Please read the enclosed Terms and Conditions for accessing the Internet that has been updated to include the use/misuse of our Network and other technology misconduct. If you have any questions, please discuss them with your principal or supervisor or contact the Technology Director, Richard Kasson, at 935-2100 ext. 322 for additional information. Please sign the Authorization form and return it to your school principal. School principals will keep a record of employees whom they supervise who have been granted access to the Internet. The Authorization form will become part of your personnel file.
